It's compact, installed quickly by itself (no driver needed, although it comes with one), and works great with my Asus EEE PC Netbook (XP). I installed Nero 7 essentials with it and it burned a CD perfectly the first time I tried it. Watching DVD's works great too--very clear picture! I highly recommend this drive for someone looking for a small portable CD writer. Note: this drive does not burn DVD's.
