(More customer reviews)I got this carrying case because I am always carrying my ext HD to work with me and I wanted the extra protection for it (that and the toshiba portable hard drive is a bit prone to scratches). Hard external casing enclosed in non-slip material, which I appreciate. The width of the toshiba one is thinner than my iomega hard drive carrying case - although the iomega has more padding. I like the inside flap that covers my ext HD while providing extra storage for my usb memorty sticks. All in all, a good buy.
