(More customer reviews)Bought this to use with my new Dell Net Book. Truly plug and play. Computer recognized the drive immediately and was ready to use in seconds. Used the drive to install Microsoft Office 2010. Note: I do not recommend running Office on a Net Book, but that has nothing to do with the quality or functions of the DVD drive. I normally do not award 5 stars unless the item exceeds my expectations. The DVD drive does everything it is supposed to do and was a good value. Arrived a day ahead of the estimated deliver date.
I especially like that it worked fine without an external power supply, but not sure that applies to use with some older computers.
