It functions as expected minus 2 things that could stand to be a bit better.
The zif connector pops open at the slightest of pressure and the ribbon slides out.
It could be much better if the connector had a better locking mechanism.
I had to put the original drive bracket over this and wrap some electrical tape
over where the connector went under the bracket to force it to stay locked. After
which it did stay in place rather well.
Secondly the board could be a little bit longer or the CF connector moved closer to the zif connector.
Reason being when this is installed inside a small confined area in a device, some CF cards have a lip
in the back that gets stuck on when sliding in (I have a couple that do have the ridge and one that doesn't.
This is more of a personal preference and annoyance rather than a flaw in the device itself.
It in no way hurts the ability to use this item. But the first complaint I can see being an issue
for someone with a stiff/rigid ZIF cable that has any bends to go from point A to point B.
