(More customer reviews)I needed to use ZIF ribbon cable 1.8 inch SSD hard drive in a new SATA laptop. This did the trick. I did have to cut off the mounting area of the board so that it would fit in the new laptop. There is no circuitry in that area of the board, so it did not hurt the function. I cut off quite a bit (over an inch).
