(More customer reviews)I purchased a laptop from eBay in March, 2009 and a warranty from Square Trade at the same time. In July, 2009 the on/off switch failed and I contacted Square Trade. The Customer Service I received was amazing! The claim was opened and within minutes I received a shipping label pre-paid to return the laptop to Square Trade. They were concerned about the hard drive and my data that was stored on it. They even emailed me instructions on removing the hard drive so that I could retain my data. Every step of the way, I was kept informed as to the progress of my claim. When they received the item back in their warehouse, I was notified that I would receive a refund of the purchase price thru Paypal. Very prompt refund. I have had warranties from store when purchasing products and always it is a hassle to drag the defective product into the store, stand in line, only to find some aspect of the paperwork is missing or it will be a pro-rated refund, based on usage. The appliance warranties are the worst! I will deal with Square Trade in the future!
